Exeter Cathedral is beautiful, and the green area is nice (particularly when it's sunny). Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants in the area.

The Christmas Market at Cathedral green in Exeter is definitely worth a visit! Lots of festive goodies and crafts and a lovely atmosphere on the Cathedral Green.
