Lovely,friendly cafe style restaurant beside Exeter's cathedral green, serving coffees, light lunches and Devon cream teas. Plenty of indoor tables overlooking the cathedral plus more outside...

Eat on the Green is an independent restaurant in the heart of Exeter, owned and managed by a team who are passionate about creating great food using local, free range produce bought directly from the farmers and brought to you with excellent table service. The restaurant is in a Sixteenth Century building overlooking Exeter’s historic Cathedral Green. Seating arranged on two floors plus an outside dining area by the green perfect for alfresco dining on sunny days. They serve breakfast/brunch all day, except on Sundays when they stop at midday and offer Sunday Roast for the rest of the day. Their extensive lunchtime menu is served through to 5pm when the evening dinner menu starts. Afternoon teas start at 2.30 offering the classic Devonshire cream tea. Dinner is served until 8pm.

Lovely quirky cafe/ bistro! Excellent food with fresh ingredients, homemade food, cakes etc, delicious! Lovely location too

I've heard very good things about their cream teas. Remember we do it the proper way here and put the cream on before the jam!

Indulge in a traditional Devon cream tea - it's their famous speciality! Freshly made scones warm from the oven go down a treat after a day of exploring the city. Don't forget to put the cream on first; this is Devon, after all!
