Stop in at the chamber of commerce for some extra info on the area. If you want to see the petroglyphs you will need to get a key from the chamber first.

Over colorful terraces along the Big Horn River at Thermopolis flows water from mineral hot springs. More than 8,000 gallons flow over the terrace every 24 hours at a constant temperature of 135 degrees Fahrenheit. The park has a free bath house where the water is maintained at 104 degrees for therapeutic bathing. Soothe your body and soul at the famous Star Plunge in Hot Springs State Park, warming your bones in the winter and cooling off with summer family fun.
