Skip the Skydeck at Willis Tower, and go to the Signature Room at the Hancock Building instead. Skip dinner, but wait till it's dark out and grab a few martinis from up in the sky for a great view (and very heavy pours). Make sure to check out the ladies room, if you can - it has the best view in the city.

360 degree views of the city. On clear days you can see all the way to Iowa. The best view is in the ladies room! If you don't want to have a full dinner, check out their lounge/bar on the 96th floor. You might need to make reservations. Check ahead of time.

This has been our favorite spot for dinner with city views. It's on the 96th floor of the John Hancock building. You can skip the line of all the visitors just going for a view. The best time to go is before sunset when it's still daylight and then watch the entire city light up after sunset.

The John Hancock not only has an Observation Deck, but they have a restaurant on the 95th floor AND a less known about lounge on the 96th floor if you want the views without the dinner price tag.
