Apart from the river Thames Barnes has one of the most beautiful commons in London - an area of wild grass and spreading oak trees - very close to the centre of Barnes village.

Barnes Wetlands Centre is along the Tow Path and excellent for birdwatchers attracting hundreds of different birds, ducks, geese etc. Great gardens and hides to view.
