According to the legend the monastery was constructed on the place where Muslim aggressors executed David and Konstantin Mkheidze, Georgian princes, who refused to accept Islam. In a small monastery hall on an eminence there is a big rectangular ark with the hollows of the pious princes canonized by Georgian Church. Small church sheltered in a gorge of river Tslatsitela ( red river). Amazing views over an area and breathtaking surrounding gives you unique feeling of peace and beauty. It was built in the name of David and Konstantine, two brother tortured by Arabs for not accepting Islam. Church is located 15 minutes drive from Kutaisi.
