The name of this bistro leaves little to the imagination, and while the cosy space on the edge of Greenwich Market also serves charcuterie — which hangs from the ceiling — cheese and Champagne are the main focus. Although served in those annoying conical flutes, the Champagne is sensibly priced and available with a selection of sharing boards. Service is quick and friendly, the décor is quintessentially French and the creamy, Burgundian Brillat-Savarin is a must-try.

The name pretty much says it all at this Greenwich restaurant and bar - the third from reputable Champagne importer French Bubbles and artisanal cheesemonger Une Normande à Londres. The menu does extend beyond the eponymous options, so expect charcuterie boards, salads, desserts and Hop Stuff beer from Woolwich, too.

They serve exactly what they say, not terrifyingly expensive, very good if you have lost track of time and want to eat something at a weird time, you can stay for hours and nobody minds. Good meet up point. Bus to far side of Waterloo Bridge ( 171, 68, 176) walk straight ahead pass Lion King theatre its on your right.
