It's Spanish tapas, and when you come here, it’s like taking a little trip to the Mediterranean. They serve solid, good food. It's definitely been around for a while and it’s frequented by both the new Mission and the old Mission. Whenever I go to other tapas places, I always think, “Oh, but I wish I was at Esperpento.” If you go on a Friday or Saturday, you should go later in the night, because it's always pretty packed.

Best Spanish tapas in the Mission - it's like traveling to the Mediterranean without the airport lines. Try the trout, asparagus, spinach bechamel, jamon serrano appetizer, shrimp w garlic too many great dishes to pick from & it's affordable!

My absolute Favorite restaurant in SF. Excellent Spanish Tapas and amazing sangria at fabulous prices. Love it. Live music and always a good time!
