This is truly a unique (small) place to eat breakfast. It is very popular! Walk outside our studio and head up Spokane Street until you get to 17th! Great food and an awesome price. Two could get full on the amount that is served!

Sincere, zany establishment with excellent quality food for a fair price. Bertie Lou's Cafe has been in business since 1943. Hello! What does that tell ya? Best to come here for breakfast. Sit at the counter or wait for a table. Plenty of free parking out front. Comfortable picnic size tables located outside. I got the veggie scramble that came loaded with Zucchini, onions, tomato, spinach with a side of country potatoes (a little over cooked) and choice of toast. Matthew got a breakfast plate with sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs alongside biscuits and gravy. Our coffee was so good, they kept pouring the rich brew. Bring a pen and leave a piece of napkin art! Tiny beloved brunch spot with great food (think greasy spoon). Our kids love the croissant toast or their giant waffles… Highlights: anything with gravy (don't forget to get another gravy to go with your leftovers). 5 minute walk

Locals dine here frequently. It’s small and the food is pretty simple, but it’s delicious and a good value....and the Bertie Cristo is soooo good!
