If you have never seen Bridgwater Carnival and you are staying in November when it is held it is well worth going to see. Really stunning floats which are worked on by the carnival clubs throughout the year, its a popular local custom that includes young people right through to the older generation. Reserve a table at Prezzos very early on to get a great view inside or if you can't make Bridgwater then there are several other towns that host the carnival. Glastonbury and North Petherton are good ones to attend. Collections of coins for charity. If you only want to stay for a while then park near Mole Valley farmers and walk along the road to the start of the procession in Bridgwater.
