Run. Hike This is a nice easy hike on top of Signal Mountain beginning and ending at Signal Mountain HS. Drive all the way to the back of the high school grounds and park in the very furthest gravel parking lot – the trail head is down a flight of stairs across from the soccer fields. After walking down the steps, turn left and head down that way- at the first junction, turn right, and then simply follow the signs for Mushroom Rock. Once you arrive to mushroom rock (you’ll know it when you see it), walk around the back of the massive rock and find a single track that zig and zags its way down the ridge to the river. Here you will find a large hanging bridge you can cross. It’s a cool spot for a photo and the trail continues on for quite a while, so feel free to keep exploring if you’d like. Keep in mind, single track can sometimes be overgrown a bit and is narrow – so be prepared for that. Also – the drive up Signal is a nice one. Take W road on the way up if you really want some mountain driving!
