The Mawphlang Forest is considered to be a sacred forest by the Khasi Tribe. One needs to take a local guide to enter the forest. The trek in the forest is quiet good with the cool and the serene atmosphere of the place.

This is one of the tourist place but still ppl knows less about it so that is why I am adding to guidebook. This is a sacred Grove forest ( it is a sacred place).Best is to go visit and get a guide.
