Walk along South West Coast path from Moonfleet's front door! Beautiful scenery, birdlife and flora. Walking west will take you the Old Fleet Church and on to Moonfleet Manor where you can take refreshments with a view.

Within easy reach of Portesham, the walk here is charming. Situated in the nearby village of Abbotsbury it's about 3/4 hr walk from the cottage, or go to the village and it's a fairly easy climb to the chapel. There is a longer hike around the area which beautiful.

This 14th century chapel was built on a hilltop by the monks at Abbotsbury Abbey. The abbey itself is now a ruin. The chapels location gives it stunning views over the length of Chesil beach. The interior has earth floors and no seat. The local parish has the occasional service held here.

St Catherine's Chapel is located in Abbotsbury and definitely worth taking the 30-minute drive out. It's easily accessible and just a short walk from the car park at the bottom of the hill. The views are stunning up at the top and you can also enjoy a walk around inside.

Just a wow factor chapel, with doves inside. Many people venture to the chapel with a special handwritten note, to their lost loved one, placing a candle burning with it. The views are astounding, of the local area of Abbotsbury and the Jurassic coastline.
