Among these dining-centric islands in greater St. Louis, don’t miss Maplewood, south of Clayton and home to cute boutiques, Schlafly’s Bottleworks plant and taproom.
If you like checking out local beer, you have to check out Schlafly. They have multiple brewpubs in StL, but the closest is Schlafly Bottleworks (1.9 miles in the Maplewood business district). Plenty of seating for large groups, and a great menu has something for everyone. You can shop retail, take…
Local brewery (another location with different menu located downtown) Tours available of brewing and bottling areas. Many Locally sourced foods. Outdoor seating. Live music in evening many nights Great for all types of family’s of all sizes & ages too!
Tours on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. The tours last a little over an hour and they're FREE. Of course tasting is at the end. Since they are free, I would recommend coming at least 30-45 mins early to get tickets, especially for the 1pm tour which is their most popular.
This is both a great restaurant and brewery and a local favorite. They are probably the most well known local brewery and have been around for a long time.
Parking. Largest craft brewery of St. Louis. Bar & restaurant inside. Many other interesting restaurants nearby in Maplewood neighborhood.

“This is the area’s last upstairs bowling alley. It’s bowling the it used to be, in other words no mechanized score keeping. But it’s where Katy Perry’s crew went after their performance when they were in town!”
