From the history of the church and surroundings A village known as Podskalí - the seat of Prague woodworkers and swimmers - was built between Vyšehrad and Resslová Street at the beginning of the 12th century. In the old Podskalí these churches originally stood: St. St. Nicholas, vol. Vojtěch Menšího, sv. Kosmas and Damian, vol. John the Baptist and the forerunner of the present Church of the Holy Trinity - the Church of Sts. Antonín, originating from the first half of the 14th century. Barokní trojlodní kostel vznikl v letech 1708-13 pod vedením stavitelů K. Dientzenhofera a J. J. Aichbauera. Trojlodní stavba na téměř čtvercovém půdorysu s věží nad presbytářem a bohatě zdobeným průčelím. Mobiliář je většinou z druhé poloviny 18. stol.
