This would be my top local pick for a romantic white table cloth dinner, and excellent consistent food (eclectic American). About an 8 min. walk through the neighborhood, take Tremont west to West Newton Street and walk diagonally to Franklin Square Park and you're there.

Nice place to stop by after work for a drink as well as lunch or dinner any day. Sunday 5-8 the bar is also busy. A modern take on Italian food! Everything is delicious...even the items I have tried and was not so sure about were wonderful. Love the Fig Pizza. Full Bar - usually very busy. Outdoor seating. Mid size to large place. Secret back bar is typically open on busy nights - - terrific if you have to host a function for up to fifty or so, ask the host / hostess if it is open when there. Late night bar menu too. Across from Black Stone Park.

Creative, seasonal Italian dishes in a hip, vibrant, and sunny atmosphere - great place to get brunch or cocktails.

Recommend this place for brunch. It is the place to be seen on Sunday mornings. Also great modern Italian food. More upscale than Giacomo.
