A beautiful set of trails that lead out to a nice beach along the West passage of Narragansett Bay. Bring binoculars as there are usually seals on the rocks offshore. This area was originally owned by the Narragansett Electric Company and was slated to be an electric generating plant back in the '70s I believe.
Officially, this is a Nature Preserve. It's wildly popular, and each corner of the Preserve offers something different. From the abandoned Sea View Trolley line to cedar forests and holly trees, and amazing seashell-covered shoreline. Take in some great views of Bissell Cove, Jamestown, and Fox Island.
If you go to the end of the path you end up at the water. It’s a great walk! It’s very rocky at the beach but it is pretty. If you are crafty you can find some nice flat stones for painting!
