Seriously, if you like to walk, this is a very short few mile drive south on route 67. There is a great free of charge parking lot. Or if you are a hiker then get going here right now!

One of our favorite local hikes with a beautiful view as your reward at the end. The length is suitable for kids, but younger ones may need help with the elevation change. An easier hike than Maryland Heights at just under 3 miles there and back with easy and ample parking.

This short hike is a part of the Appalachian Trail, another great historical must-see. Something you can take the kids on since it is not too long or difficult, the Weverton Cliffs has some of the most rewarding views. Can be a little crowded on weekends so we recommend either getting there early or on a weekday, but well worth a trip!
