Using grazing animals as the drivers of habitat creation, and with the restoration of dynamic, natural water courses, the project has seen extraordinary increases in wildlife.

Extremely rare species like turtle doves, nightingales, peregrine falcons and purple emperor butterflies are now breeding here; and populations of more common species are rocketing.

An English Castle that holds local safari tours, and has lovely country trails to walk on. Five minutes away.

Knepp Castle is a vast country estate that is extremely popular with walkers and those that love the great outdoors. It has an extensive re-wilding project and the scenery and various signposted walks are spectacular. I believe you can also book escorted wildlife safaris.

Recently featured on Spring Watch after their Stork's successful;y hatched chicks in the Spring of 2020 - the first time in 100's of years in England. Beautiful walks with lots of free-roaming animals. It is possible to walk to the Knepp estate from The Loft.
