Waterfalls in the summer, and the best snow shoeing in the winter. Bears are on this trail, be smart, be prepared. Take the shuttle from Nederland, park n ride, this is not a drive to the trailhead option in the summer, you must use the shuttle. Winter: is a drive up park, and go about your way.

Hiking, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing. Parking is challenging! In the winter, follow parking signs and don't block the locals' access to their driveways. Summer plan to get there super-early if you drive or take the shuttle from the Park-N-Ride. Up the road from Hessie is 4th of July trailhead.
