45 minute drive away. There is a cruise out to see the glacier (info in house guide book). Hiking trails and the tunnel thru to Whittier are here.

Check out the visitor's center. You can also take a ferry out to the glacier. Hike Byron glacier near by (you can hike ON the glacier).
