The Strand’s vast film section is near the back of the first floor, where the ladder-high shelves are crammed with an amazing mix of popular, rare, and used books. Upstairs in the Rare Book Room, check out valuables like The Adventures of Antoine Doinel: Four Screenplays by Francois Truffaut, inscribed by Truffaut to film critic John Simon for $1,000.
