(10 mins drive through Christchurch) This is a quiet spot away from the crowds in the heat of the summer and a perfect spot to take a fishing net with children. There are plenty of birds and swans nested in the reeds. Rabbits abound and horses and cattle graze across the marsh. There are small beaches onto the Mudeford estuary. This is a nature reserve with easy parking by the Stanpit Scouts Hall. Great place for a walk and picnic with children and an easy flat amble.

Special nature area with wild ponies, water birds and views of Mudeford Spit. Like a little New Forest by the sea!
Stanpit Marsh is within a ten minute walk from High Tides. Best access is across the old golf course at the back of the Two Riversmeet Leisure Centre where you will see stunning sun rise and sunset. This scenic walk alongside the marsh will take you down to the Quay or across to the Priory and the river. You will need wellies if there has been a recent down pour.
