Beautiful thatched pub on the A4 Beckhampton Roundabout or take a walk through Avebury Trusloe (left out of drive) past the Adam and Eve stones about a mile or so? Legend has it that Dickens visited and referenced it in the Pickwick Papers - check out website for menu.

If you want a pub with great character and an 'olde worlde' atmosphere this is it. Good pub grub, friendly service and very close to Avebury, you can see Silbury Hill from the window of the bar.

Haven't eaten here in years but its a classic old historic English pub with a good garden area. Great stop off if you walk to Beacon Hill.
