There are local shops to rent kayaks or go on whitewater rafting trips. You can also just grab and intertube and float down the river. Do a bit of reading first though! Some areas have very high dancer rapids!

Traveling from the Sierras to where it meets the Sacramento River a couple of miles from the residence, this river played a major role in the Gold Rush.
