If you want authentic Italian cuisine this IS the place! Small, quaint restaurant only 5 minutes from the bear suite. The Italian margaritas are super if you want to try something new & different. To top off a great dinner try the homemade tiramisù and an espresso.

OMG, if you’re looking for great pizza, an amazing atmosphere, you must visit Woody’s! All of their pizzas are made fresh and you have the option of ordering off the menu or enjoying pizza by the slice, salad bar, and beer cheese soup. I have been going to Woody’s since the 1980s and their food has always been outstanding. 
Try the bloody Mary or the old fashion… So good.

I have been going to Woody’s since the 1980s and their food has always been outstanding.

I highly recommend this local favorite spot for breakfast! Located in the small town of Morrison, just 10 min from our house. Great omelets, their famous “cow” breakfast burrito (feeds 2), the French toast and love the milkshakes!

According to Condé Nast Traveler “Red Rocks is considered one of the most beautiful Music venues in the country. Bright red sandstone rocks jut out from either side of the stage to create a natural amphitheater, concert goers have views of downtown Denver and the surrounding Foothills”. There are hiking trails around the area and it truly is a “must see” experience! It is FREE & the Location is approximately a 10-15 minute drive from our home.

Rent a paddle board, go fishing, try your hand at archery, give waterskiing a try, saddle up and go horseback riding, hike one of the many beautiful trails, go swimming and or lay on the sandy swim beach to soak up some rays. Perhaps, pack up a lunch and have a picnic, ride bikes, go camping or feed the ducks.

It’s nestled in the foothills, southwest of the capital city, and is centered around the 1500-acre Chatfield Reservoir. A variety of outdoor recreation is found within this year-round state park. Chatfield is open to most types of boats, including powerboats, sailboats, jet skis, and water skis. Fishing is also big year-round, with ice fishing chances in the winter. For camping, there is a whopping 197 campsites and 10 group campsites, many with full hook-ups.
Biking is one of the main activities in and around the park. There’s also horseback riding, a model airplane runway, a swim beach, and a dog park. The 109-acre off-leash dog area costs an extra minimal day use or annual fee. There are 26 miles of trails, 12 which are paved.
