House in the old townQuiet and private apartment - on the first floor - of a building in the old town of Como, in the pedestrian area, just three minutes walk from the lake. The bedroom comfortable and weel cared is served by wardrobe room. The living room, which also has a sofa bed for two person, overlooking the spacious kitchen furnisched in a classical italian style: fridge,stove with five burners, two gave, one electric and the other microwave, coffee maker, kettle. For kids are available free: seat cot, sterilizer, bottle warm. You can also find iron and hair dryer. Guest also can enjoy pleasant moment in a quiet terrace. Within the walls (still existing) of XII century, the apartment is just a few steps from the most beautiful square in Como: piazza Duomo with the magnificient cathedral; piazza San Fedele with its Basilica; Piazza Volta, with the monument of Alessandro Volta (phisical born and lived in Como, inventor of battery) and Piazza Cavour in front of the lake. With its charming historic centre, Como is an elegant and prosperous town. Built on the wealth of the silk industry, so it remains Europe’s most important producer of silk products; you can buy scarves and ties here for a fraction of the cost elsewhere. The apartment is distant 10 minutes walk from the two stations: Como San Giovanni e Como Nord Lago. Trains to Como from Milan’s Stazione Centrale and Porta Garibaldi station (40 minutes to one hour) operate hourly services to the main Como San Giovanni station; some continue on to Switzerland.
