It was born to house the ethnographic collection, reunited in 1975 by young students of the Student Civic Service, within the scope of the Work and Culture plan, under the supervision of a man who placed in this project all his commitment - Michel Giacometti. The Museu do Trabalho de Setúbal, which, in honor of its founder and after his death in 1991, was renamed the Michel Giacometti Work Museum, opened its doors to the public on May 18, 1995. Tuesday to Friday, from 09:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
