Historical bakery that serves great coffee and pastries (bakery is open on the weekend). Best to get there early so you don't miss out. There's also some lovely little shops (albeit on the pricey side) in the small village.
I love this place first up Sunday morning for a coffee and chocolate croissant baked in the 200 year old historic oven. Another restaurant pushing sustainability and done bloody well. See a real beehive in action or just sit in the garden watching the produce that goes to restaurant grow. The…

“A standalone café set far in the hinterland of Federal, the drive to Doma is breathtaking and arriving there feels like you’ve happened upon a hidden gem — although, it’s not so hidden anymore due to word of mouth. Enter the white pebbled courtyard shaded with umbrella’s and palm trees, fresh sushi cones and matcha lattes are passed over the counter. Their hybrid menu of Japanese cuisine with an Australian twist is a stand out and well worth the drive. They’re only open for breakfast and lunch, so be sure to get there before 2.30pm. ”

“Minyon Falls Minyon Falls is one of the largest in the area, located in Nightcap National Park. A short walk from the carpark is the viewing platform, overlooking the falls and the national park. After rain, the falls are spectacular and definitely worth bringing your camera! If you’re looking for a full day adventure, the Minyon Falls walking track allows you to wander through the forest, past beautiful creeks leading to the bottom of the waterfall. The track is 13km return, so be prepared with plenty of food and water to last you throughout the day. ”

“Special night out? Look no further than St Elmo’s - amazing food, and a sophisticated and intimate atmosphere. The only drawback is snaring a table as, even on a quiet night, St Elmo’s is often booked out, so remember to book early. Whether you start at the bar or head straight to your table for some of the Bay’s best tapas, you‘re assured of a fantastic evening at this superb venue. REMEMBER: Put on your best holiday outfit and head to St Elmo’s for a night to remember! Open 7 nights a week from 5 pm st elmos byron bay ”
