Goat Rock is wild, rugged, and moody: NorCal at its best. Please DO NOT go too close to the sea as there are powerful sneaker waves and people drown here literally every year. But if you respect the sea it really is a special place, especially in the early sunrise or sunset.

Goat Rock is an impressive geological feature and the beach offers great views and sometimes wildlife such as elephant seals, otters and sea lions.

"Blind Beach" (off to the left of the same road that goes to Goat Rock) is dog-friendly and a very short walk from the parking lot.
