Neighbourhood pub, located 5 minutes away from the rental. Beautiful view, waterfront.
Maple Bay Restaurant, great pub food always friendly Staff. Love their chicken wings and happy hour. Sit outside in the warmer days and enjoy the view of the bay looking towards Saltspring Island.
The Lion Rampant Scottish Pub is an oceanfront, neighbourhood pub, located in beautiful Maple Bay, only 10 minutes away. They serve traditional Scottish food, plus a selection of Canadian favourites. Where else can you get a poutine with haggis?!? They have 16 beers on tap, with a focus on local,…
Great view from the balcony. There's a liquor store below that sells a selection of beer, wine & spirits. You have to be 19 yrs or older to enter. For families, I'd recommend ordering takeaway and eating on the picnic tables at the Maple Bay park next door.

“It is a bit of a drive but worth it all the same. Wood Oven baked pizza. They are open primarily in the summer months so check out their website before heading out. Best pizza in the area, no, in Duncan, no, in Cowichan...no, on the Island!...may be even in Canada....”

“The Maple Mountain trail network has been enjoyed for years by hikers, but not until recently did the mountain receive the attention it deserved for mountain biking. Over the last few years the Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society in conjunction with the approval of the local municipality began crafting the finest mountain biking trails on Vancouver Island. Today riders from all over the PNW visit to ride the renowned "Maple Syrup". Overall this mountain presents the mountain bike enthusiast with a ride that encompasses every single skillset required to be a true rider is. Rock, drops, berms, rollers, jumps and pure conditioning combine to be a premier "all-mountain" or "enduro" trail network.”

“Ever since winning GOLD at the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards in 2014, Hudson's On First, has continued to surprise and delight locals and travellers, who have come to visit this extraordinary valley. A region that has more concentrated organic & specialized growers, farmers and ranchers, than anywhere in British Columbia. ”

“Great hike for intermediate and up. The harder hike is the entrance from Tzouhalem Rd. Parking in front of the White Church and walk over to the yellow barrier and walk to the right. Or Drive to the other side of the Mountain, have not hiked the easy side but I think you can park halfway up. Take water and snacks if you do other intermediate. It can get steep, most dogs are leashed as there are cliffs near by at the top. ”
