When the Last Bookstore converted an old downtown LA bank into a massive retail space, they invited Scott Craig to move in with his Records L.A. store. If you walk in and turn right, you’ll see the many bins that he stocks on a weekly basis and you could easily kill a few hours between the used books and used records. The Last Bookstore is a worthwhile destination in its own right. It’s an amazing space filled with endless rows of new and used books. Don’t forget to go upstairs and look around the stacks and vaults up there. Trust me.

A huge bookstore in a building that formerly housed a bank, this place features among other things, a giant record section, bank vaults that have been converted into rooms full of antique books, a side room devoted to rare books, and a 2nd floor where everything is 1 dollar with sculptures and…
California's largest book & record store that sells new & used items in a multilevel space adorned with local art. There is a huge mezzanine level (2nd floor) that includes the Labyrinth, a gallery, local art and gift shops. I take every friend that visits to this place and they all love it. If you…
Beautiful bookstore. It is worth a visit even if you are not looking for a book. It is a special place using books as sculpture, architecture and art within the space.
Another historic landmark of Downtown LA, The Last Bookstore is a bastion of used and new books arranged in artistic patterns perfect for photo opportunities, as well as an upper floor full of artist studios and galleries.

“This is both sightseeing and a great food scene. Plus it’s a 100 years old. Take the Historic Angels flight tram ride across the street and visit the Broad museum. Recommend Sticky Rice for Thai food and Sarita’s for Salvadoran Pupusas but most of the places are pretty good. Parking is attached to the building. Make sure to park there and not the on the street or anywhere else. Multi level parking attached to the GCM. Parking cost here is the cheapest in the area. Entrance to parking off hill street. Small entrance so you might miss it the first time but definitely park here. LOL! ”
