At the main harbour you will find 'Verity' - Damien Hirst's art installation, placed there in 2012, she is 20m tall!
Go for a boat or fishing trip or sit on the harbour wall and watch the world go by.
The dramatic clifftop scenery and setting of Ilfracombe Harbour is beautiful and impressive and the picturesque 14th Century chapel perched on Lantern Hill, right next to Damien Hirst’s statue Verity standing guard at the harbour entrance, add interest. There are lots of coves to explore, including the famous Tunnels Beaches (which we've yet to visit), plus a wide selection of eateries serving local fish & seafood, independent shops, a cinema, mini golf and amusement arcades. Ilfracombe is also the starting point for costal cruises, sailings to Lundy island, fishing trips and a great place to watch Gig Racing.

your classic British seaside town with a number of beaches, famous for its Tunnels and latterly Verity, the Damien Hirst statue
A small sandy beach in the heart of the town, fantastic for the kids to play on and dog friendly all year round. Situated right next to the lifeboat station and when the tide is out, you can walk across to Larkstone beach. Close to the ice cream parlours and fish and chip shops for those all important treats.
