The Wild Detectives

This is such a unique place, I have always been with others. Its a great place for events - book clubs, poetry readings, etc. but also just a great place in a hip neighborhood to grab a coffee or glass of wine and take in the charm.

One of the best independent book stores in Dallas. If you read, this is your spot.

Located on 8th Street in an old bungalow, this book store/coffee shop/wine bar has a large outdoor seating area with picnic tables. Wooden ramp for strollers and wheelchair accessibility. Occasional poetry readings and book club meetings.

It’s coffee shop meets bar meets bookstore. Be sure to check their calendar because they often hosts local artists and storytellers on their outdoor patio.

While I have had better coffee, this place does offer WiFi, food, cocktails, lots of books, and a very unique atmosphere. They also have a large patio in the back, and put on live music from time to time as well.
