Excellent hiking can be found in East Sooke parks like the one here with the entrance to Anderson Cove Parking Lot.

The most beautiful trail we know! The Coast Trail goes for about 6(ish) hours one way-so you can walk as far as you'd like. You may see eagles, otters, seals, sea lions and possibly some orcas (if you're very lucky). Just a few minutes away. There are trails in the interior which are easier walking, forest walks rather than ocean side.

A Bit of a Drive but well worth it for the views and the walking trail along the ocean.

Our favourite local day-long hike is the Coast Trail. You can do lots of short hikes - to petroglyphs, etc.
