This is actually the oldest oyster company in California, they’ve been around since 1911. They’re a major supplier, and do a little bit of retail here on site at the farm. It has a rich history and a great vibe, great juju. It’s always been a big melting pot of people of all ages and cultures. They have wet storage, which is like a big fish tank that holds all the oysters that were recently harvested, and they come out of the water the moment you buy them. They have limited seating where you can sit and shuck them yourself. They also have limited hours, so be sure to call in advance to make sure they’re open.

“The William Tell is the oldest saloon in Marin County. It is under new ownership & has a fabulous chef, reasonable prices, a relaxed atmosphere. They have live music on Friday's. We recommend the clam chowder. It is out of this world!”

“Enjoy fresh oysters and a cold one at the outside bar. Or, grab a baguette, cheese, and drinks in Point Reyes Station on your way then buy a bag of oysters at Hog Island and have your own picnic along Tomales Bay. (You can purchase oyster shucking tool there.)”

Bakery
“Amazing” “fresh-out-of-the-oven” breads, “the best scones ever” and “tantalizing” pastries (including vegan/gluten-free “goodies”) “tug at the heartstrings” at these individually run “hippie-dippie” bakeries; “there’s no decor” and only “limited” seating, but expect quick-moving “lines of people” queuing up for a cup of fair-trade “joe” and “generous slices” of daily vegetarian pizza that “never fails to be deliciously interesting.””

“A great alternative to the over crowded parking area on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. Provides an excellent view from beneath the bridge. See the photo on the cover of this guide.”
