An important tourist objective that is close to the historical center of Brașov. From Cetățuie you can admire the beauty of the city of Brasov, the historical and the new part of the city, but you can also relax on the terrace inside. The fortress of Brasov served in the past as a prison and a…

Great less touristic place, good views of the old town. Can be accessed by hidden stairs located at the bottom of the hill facing the old town, starting next to a coffee shop facing the central park.

Residential Building (Apartment / Condo)
“Towering over the city skyline, Biserica Neagră is the main Gothic monument in the country and considered the largest church between Vienna and Istanbul. It was built by the German community of the city of Brașov between 1385 and 1477. With a length of 89 meters, a width of 38 meters and featuring a 65- meter-tall bell tower, the church got its name from the charred appearance of its walls, which were blackened during the Great Fire of 1689. Tunnel
“The Black tower is an 11 meter high massive tower with a glass roof constructed in 1995. It was built in the XIVth century and survived two fires caused by lightning. After the first fire (1599) the tower was named The Black Tower. The 2 m high entrance of the tower could be approached only by ladder. The link to the castle was an underground tunnel and a bridge. The tower was built for defense against enemies. The last time it functioned as a watchtower was in 1756 during the plague epidemic. Today the tower houses temporary exhibitions.”

Scenic Lookout
“Can be reached from the old town via stairs (not for the faint of heart). Offers great panoramas over the old town. Two small towers keep watch over old Brasov from the Warthe hill on the northern side of the city: the so-called White and Black towers. While not identical (the white tower, above, is much larger) - were nevertheless built at the same time, late in the 15th century.”

Romanian Restaurant
“It's a great traditional decorated place, which offers very good services and the dishes are amazingly tasty. One of the best traditional restaurants in Brasov, they welcome you with a traditional apetizer (jumari and red onoin), nice service, good food. Its a great location and is quite busy with locals, which usually is good sign :). ”
