Older than the Grand Canyon some of the most distinct geological formations it's referred to by geologists as 'the Spearfish Formation.' Hiking, waterfalls, fishing, unbelievable beauty.

Try breakfast in Cheyenne Crossing and head through the Canyon via 14a. Stop at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge and have a beverage. Head up past the lodge and park to walk the paved trail to the overlook of Roughlock Falls. Continue through the canyon to Spearfish SD.

Beautiful scenic drive. Waterfalls, hiking paths, beautiful views. Drive to or hike to Roughlock Falls. Spearfish Falls is a short walk but very worth it. Bridal Veil Falls is just off the main road. Can you discover Eleventh Hour Gulch? How about the Devils Bathtub or Hippie Hole?
