This is a great place to take kids (bring quarters for fish food). There are some great hikes that are great for families here too.

A great place to visit with the kids. You can feed the fish, go on a nature hike, or hit the cross-country trails.

Look at them fish! Feed those fish? The Leadville fish hatchery is the second oldest Federally operated fish hatchery. They allow the public to come by and take a look at the processes of fish hatcheries, as well as feed the rainbow trout! Sometimes they'll even jump out of the water. Such fun,…

“Did you know this is the highest golf course in America? Surrounded by the open space adjoining the Arkansas River, ringed in by the mountains of the state as well as Ranch Land and forest as far as the eye can see. Unsurprisingly, it's a wondrous Leadville attraction at a very reasonable rate, conditioned and maintained to the same level of the nearby Resort golf courses, but with a much lower price tag. Wanna get another round?”

Museum
“A great museum for learning about the history of Leadville. If you are a history buff you need to check it out. Did you know Leadville was a contender to be the capital of Colorado? Or that The Unsinkable Molly Brown became the legend she is today due to her husband striking it rich with gold mining in Leadville? There is so much more history here!”

Point of Interest
“Flying has long been a dream of humanity...but planes didn't really cut it like we thought it would. Enter the zip line. Nothing but a dangling string, a harness, and the open skies flying through the Top of the Rocky Mountains. It's especially a fun treat to fly over the train as it passes beneath you during the fall when the colors change. In the winter, this company also offers backcountry snowmobiling as an additional activity.”
