“Watchet’s very own zoo! Don’t be put off by its fading elegance and the slightly shabby facade. A very unusual spot. Tropiquaria Zoo is one of the most unique zoos or wildlife parks in the country. The former "Art Deco" BBC radio transmitter station originally built in 1933, now houses the Tropical Hall, Nocturnal House and Aquarium. Outside there’s 4 acres of animal enclosures, along with two life sized pirate ships, and an adventure castle. A great place to take the kids on a wet or sunny day. We hear tell the animals come first and are very well cared for. A unique place, great fun and deserves support. ”

“A lovely, easy walk in beautiful Exmoor, with a good pub at the start/end of it (Tarr Farm Inn) with a beer garden overlooking the river. This beautiful circular walk is clearly signed and takes you along one bank of the river and back the other side, in around one hour.”
