Most people think Twin Peaks is the highest point in San Francisco—false, Mt. Davidson is, and it’s a much cooler spot. The trail is basically a spiral that wraps around the hill all the way to the top. When the dense fog comes in, it can be spooky as hell, but it’s super cool. Every time I’m up here I catch the cool local high school kids making out. There’s a massive cross at the very top to remember the victims of the Armenian genocide.

Enjoy this secluded and little known place to hike. This is the hill you see front our front yard. It's the highest point in SF and the views and out of this world! Just ask us for the best way to walk up the mountain!
It's the highest point in San Francisco, but few tourists go there. There's a lovely trail that begins on Juanita Way, just one block south of Portola Drive. The hike up and down takes an hour or so. Great panoramic views. Also a giant cross that commemorates the Armenian genocide of a century ago…
Short hike within city limits through heavy foliage to the bald peak with unencumbered views of the city to the east, south and north, including twin peaks and a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge.
