Amazing views over this dual town (one on the cliffs overlooking the one on the seafront), with spectacular views on the drive there from the cottage. Well worth a visit.

Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway is probably the best and most exciting way to travel between the historic and picturesque towns of Lynton and Lynmouth. The whole family will love this thrilling vertical journey from Lynmouth, nestled at the foot of the cliffs, to Lynmouth, which is perched 500 feet above! Enjoy stunning views of the North Devon coastline as you glide along the track of this extremely environmentally friendly tourist attraction, which requires absolutely no power to operate. Whilst you’re at the top, why not stop for a refreshment at The Cliff Top Café where you will get possibly the best cream tea in the whole of the West Country (as well as a great range of homemade cakes, tray-bakes and freshly ground coffee too!)

A truly marvellous invention. Powered by gravity and water. Views over the glorious countryside. Pair this with a visit to the Rising Sun Pub in Lynmouth.
