The volunteer-run Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum is open twice monthly. The exhibits in the 1914 railway roundhouse include locomotives, passenger cars and freight cars. The Steam Tramway & Preservation Society operates an 1880s Sydney Steam Tram on most open days. On other occasions, visitors can ride in an open-ended 1890s ‘cowboy’ carriage hauled by a Robert Stephenson tank engine built in 1899. Located a short drive away at 17 Tusculum Rd, Valley Heights. Generally open 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, 10am – 4pm.

A great place if you are into old trains. Often volunteers to talk to. Well worth a visit.
