Watch the salmon climb the ladder. Watch the boats go from fresh water out to the sound. It’s amazing and one of the oldest parts of Seattle.

A boat lock system with an underwater view of a fish ladder. A hot spot for mating blue herons and on the way to the beach at Golden Gardens.

Visit during Summer and on weekends. It’s free. The locks will have boats line up and water level will go down and up like an elevator for boats.

Watch boats getting through the locks and salmon migrating through the fish ladder. An interesting, educational and fun experience. Not to mention this is a very beautiful and historical place.
