On arriving at the zoo it is a good idea to ask about feeding times for the animals. That way you stand a better chance of seeing them in a somewhat active state. The plexiglass tunnel for the polar bears is always busy but the bears are also visible from many different viewpoints both indoors and out. All in all, the Journey to Churchill section , which is where the polar bears can be found, is well laid out with a little play area indoors for children and another outside nearby. It is also worth looking at the website for the zoo, or in the local press, as there are sometimes special events held here.

The Assiniboine Zoo is a great place to pass time and see some cool animals! Learn about the Polar Bears and check out the Dinosaurs Alive exhibit!
