This is one of the largest lakes in the area... great CAMPING (oh, you won't be doing that) and hiking.

Burke Lake Park was created when the area originally purchased for the international airport that is now Dulles Airport was rescued by community activists as being too close to the DC suburbs. It was repurposed as a state park with a 5 acre lake and over 5 miles of hiking/fitness trails, boating and camping facilities, sports activities and more.
