For a great family day out where the kids can let their hair down - go visit The Big Sheep. It's a bit of a drive out from Braunton but well worth it. You can book tickets on line or call them before hand to make sure of operating hours and activities available for the desired day. Be prepared as there is so much to do there. This is a good place for young and old to visit. There is lots to do from watching live shows to seeing the animals up close. You can also add to the thrill of the day by putting a bet on a sheep race, which are ridden by little teddy jockeys. For the little ones there is a big indoor play area called EWEtopia. There are also places to purchase food and drinks, whether you choose to visit one of the cafes for lunch, or the new gin distillery for something stronger.
