This historic train car, turned restaurant, was featured on the Food Network. They take their food more seriously than they do themselves! It's always fun and IMO the portions are shareable! They also bake their own bread so the toast is great! Solo travelers can eat at the counter!

Locally recognized as a historic landmark and great breakfast joint, Franks Diner is now nationally famous! Featured with Guy Fieri on the Food Network series “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” Franks also has been in the limelight on numerous TV specials and in various travel magazines. The unusual lunch car diner is celebrating more than 80 years in business. The staff offers friendly smiles, sassy service and one piece of advice: be nice or leave! Dig into the homemade bread, gigantic pancakes, juicy burgers and the best-seller — the “Franks Garbage Plate.”

A Kenosha icon, Franks Diner has had many celebrity sightings and has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives twice! The garbage plate is the signature dish. It comes in a full-size portion or 1/2 size portion. Don't mind the snarky attitude here-it's part of the charm. Also typically long wait on the weekends and I don't think they take reservations, but you can call in and do a pick-up order and enjoy it at the Airbnb. A must for every new visitor to our area!
