“The best curry house in my opinion. And worth the journey into Barnstaple. What is my favourite dish.... all of them but the railway lamb curry is amazing. You will need to book. 01271 322 299 / www.gangesbaarnstaple.co.uk. They do have a take away menu but don't deliver to Ilfracombe. But I have been know to collect and it is still warmth to enjoy back home. ”

“World famous 3 miles of golden sands stretching to Putsborough. Popular for surfing. Gets very busy in summer months so go early to secure a good spot.”

“Check when it is high or low tide to make sure you will be able to walk along the beach. Also to get to the beach you can walk/bike along the tarka trail which has some awesome views in the sun shine. Check how long the walk is before you go to make sure you want to do it as it can be long if your a slow walker.”
