Travis, the owner is very kind and helpful. The main bike hire shop is across from Centra at the Fairgreen. They offer a shuttle bus to bring you back to Westport from Achill or if you want to start in Achill, the shuttle takes you there in the morning and you can make your way back. If you get tired, you can call ahead and the bus can pick you up at Mulranny or Newport. Cycle from Westport to Newport is beautiful and not too far for a leisurely cycle. Outbound shuttle bus from Westport to Achill depart from Distillery Road depot at 09:30h and 12:30h and from Newport en-route at 9:45 and 12:45. Return shuttles depart Achill back to Westport at 14:30 and 17:30. In the offseason, they operate the 9:30 shuttle bus only. Other outbound/inbound shuttles are at their discretion but please ring them and ask.
